 A technique of obtaining information about a performance in sample of particular are of behavior is needed for evaluation purposes which refers to testing.  Test administration is focused with the physical and psychological setting in which students takes the test.

It aims to establish both a physical and psychological setting that permits the students to do their best on the test. This are use and bases of school  administrators, supervisors, teachers and parents for them to utilize it as a key to some decision making for curriculum modification, guiding and counseling, program evaluation, learning competencies of students, efficiency of instruction as well as the value and the advantage the students will get.

We have mode of response, ease of quantification of response, mode of administration, test constructor, mode of interpreting results, and nature of the answer as the types of tests. Each of them is a vital element which has its indispensable function to gather information about the student performance and supervising various pieces of learning to weigh and evaluate teaching efficacy and so as the students.

Module 2: Establishing the Learning Targets

Terms associated with learning targets are goal, objective, competency, outcome, standard, and expectation. Learning target is defined as a statement of the student performance that includes both description of what students should know or able to do at the end of a unit of instruction and the criteria for judging the level of performances demonstrated. There are types of learning targets which are: Knowledge learning target, Reasoning learning target, Skill learning target, Product learning target and Affective learning target. Thus are used to to assess learning targets. Instructional objectives, it is more specific statements of what students will know and be able to do. It is serve to communicate clearly the purpose, at the same time serve as basis in evaluating student growth. The three student learning outcomes which are: cognitive, affective and psycho motor. It is use to develop the learning of the students, having a target on how to develop the intellectual, physical, motor skills, attitudes and values.

As a future teacher, we have to know what kind of tests that we have to use. We are familiar with different types of exams but we don't have any idea on how to make it. As we discuss on developing assessment tools, we begin to explore on how to construct different types of tests. We learn the steps on how to make it and the things that to be avoided to do in making a test. We have also the checklists to make sure that we made a strong questions. We are also guided by different types of assessment tools. In Multiple Choice Test, it is considered to be the widely used form of test because of its versatility. True or False Test, used to test wherein there are only two possible answer to a question. Matching Types Test, designed to measure student's ability to single out pairs of matching phrases, words or other related facts from other separate lists. Completion Test, requires the student to complete a sentence with the correct word phrase. Essays expose student reasoning-process.  With this, we could refer what should be the test that we have to make.

Assessment, Evaluation, Measurement, and Test. These terms, as we are all at first aware of, are and can be used interchangeably. But the fact was the total opposition. These are the tenures or words that we should be able to understand in this course. Deeper knowledge in the distinction and difference of each term is an emphasis. The first part of this course have acquainted us for the correct usage of these terminologies. Norm-referenced test and the Criterion-referenced test are the types of measurement discussed. Placement, Diagnostic, Formative, and Summative are characterized under Assessment. Aside from the correct terminology usage, the Guiding Principles in Assessment of Learning was discussed for the overview of the course.
